Privacy Policy

TutoringForSat.com ("we," "us," or "our") is run by Cedrick Reese and operates tutoringforsat.com. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site, why, who else receives it, and the choices and rights you have. It's written to be read, so if anything is unclear, ask us.

Information we collect

• Tool inputs. Scores, school ranges and prices you type into the calculators are processed in your browser only. They aren't sent to us or stored anywhere, and they're gone when you leave the page. Some pages put a score in the page address (for example ?score=1300) when you follow a link between tools. That address stays in your own browser history.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our web host automatically records standard request data (IP address, pages requested, date and time, browser type, referring page) to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept under the host's standard retention settings.
• Contact form and email. If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are sent to our contact handler at readyutilities.com so we can reply. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in that email.
• Cookies. This site doesn't currently set cookies, and the tools don't use browser storage. See the Cookie Policy.

We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, sensitive information such as ID numbers, financial account numbers or health details.

How we use information, and our legal bases

• Running and securing the site (server logs): our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protecting it from abuse.
• Answering your message (contact form and email): to respond to your request, which is also our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.
• Non-essential cookies, if we ever add them (analytics or advertising): only with your consent where the law requires it, collected through a consent banner before those cookies are set.

Those legal bases matter mainly to visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, where the GDPR and UK GDPR apply.

Who receives information

• Our web host, which stores the site and its server logs.
• Our contact handler at readyutilities.com, run by the same operator, which receives contact form messages.
• Google Fonts, which delivers the site's typefaces. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. These providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

Analytics and advertising

The site doesn't run analytics or advertising today. If we add either, such as Google Analytics or Google AdSense, we'll update this policy and the Cookie Policy before they go live to name each service, explain the cookies it uses and how to opt out, and add a consent banner so non-essential cookies only load after you agree where the law requires it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
• correct information that's wrong
• have your information deleted
• object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent you gave earlier
• opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell or share it)
• not be treated differently for using any of these rights

Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws have rights along these lines, and so do people in the EEA and UK under the GDPR and UK GDPR. We'll honor these requests from anyone, wherever they live. To make one, email admin@readyutilities.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to confirm it's you before acting on a request, and an authorized agent can ask on your behalf. If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children and teens

Many SAT and PSAT takers are teenagers. This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and think your child under 13 has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it. We don't sell or share personal information of anyone, including visitors under 16.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the calculators keep your inputs in your browser, and contact messages go only to our own handler. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal details.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy whenever our practices change, including before adding any analytics or advertising. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.
